BLAZING SADDLES VIII IS SATURDAY, JULY 18, 2009, a spectacular fundraising bicycle ride through the Bridger Mountains and the scenic Shields River Valley. Registration opens March 1, 2009 closes at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15. We are not able to offer ride-day registrations. The full ride starts in Livingston, goes over Bozeman Pass and Jackson Creek Road, across Battle Ridge, through Wilsall and Clyde Park and back to Livingston. All levels of cyclists are welcome and can choose from a variety of starting points. This ride is our major fundraising event, and each year more participants help raise money for families and individuals with kids battling cancer. Fabulous prizes are given to the top fundraisers on the ride. Friends and family are invited to cheer you on and to join us for a scrumptious picnic and Summerfest activities at Sacajawea Park following the ride.

Every spring we invite school children to submit art for our Blazing Saddles poster. See our amazing finalists from last year.

BLAZING SADDLES MILEAGE OPTIONS:

100 (+) mile century or 81 (+/-) miles starting in Livingston, heading over Bozeman Pass to Jackson Creek Road, then over Battle Ridge Pass to Shields Valley, ending in Livingston at Sacajawea Park. Century riders will add miles on Shields River Road, just north of Wilsall.
65 (+/-) miles starting at the Bozeman Pass historical marker on the Frontage Road, to Jackson Creek Road, then over Battle Ridge Pass to Shields Valley, ending in Livingston at Sacajawea Park.
45 miles starting at the top of Battle Ridge Pass for a fabulous downhill jaunt into Livingston through Shield's Valley.

30 mile family fun ride - From Wilsall into Livingston. Perfect for families who want to ride together or for beginning cyclists who feel intimidated by longer miles.

The ride has full sag wagon support and numerous rest stops with delicious snacks, water and Gatorade along the way. Participants also receive a free water bottle and a mileage sticker to proudly display on helmet or bike.
