Remember that the elevation profile is condensed.The two longest of the rising profiles in the image extend well over ten miles each, and every rider seems to have taken those hills without dismounting. Of course, those who start at Battle Ridge have a nearly downhill ride into Livingston, with one or two rolling hills along the way.

Online registration for Blazing Saddles IX, to be held on Saturday July 17, 2010 opened in the first week of March. It is easiest to register online, and you can create a pledge page for your supporters to securely charge pledges to you online. From our online registration page you can still download and print the registration form and waiver, and send them to us in postal mail, but we hope you’ll register online.

This year, we are making family group or team registrations easier and we are offering a reduced registration fee for members of a group of more than 3 people whether they are family members or not. Because the registration software cannot enforce a minimum of three registrants in a group, you are on the honor system. When you start the registration process, pick “Team Member $30″ and indicate at least 3 riders if you are going to ride in a group. If you are riding singly, or you want to register 2 individuals at the same time, select “Individual $40″ and indicate whether there are 1 or 2 riders.

So this year, a group doesn’t have to be just family members, and you can register up to 8 folks in your group with the “Team Member” registration type. We hope you’ll have fun putting together a team if you are inclined to ride in a group. Competitive cycling teams are always welcome, even though this is not a competition event, and now anyone can assemble a team.
